On their wedding day, every man and woman hopes and dreams about a long, loving and happy life together. A gift from God to enjoy but also to give to each other and to Him.

But marriage is a complex gift. Uniting two very different persons into a unity that forms a bond so strong it lasts a lifetime can be difficult. Fortunately, God in His love and wisdom did not leave us to figure it all out on our own.

Since the start of the 21st century, the U.S. marriage rate has declined from more than eight marriages per 1,000 down to six marriages per 1,000 population in 2019. That marriage rate is the lowest level since the U.S. government began keeping marriage records for the country in 1867.Aug 10, 2021

Essentially, divorce was a non-issue. In 1981, the divorce rate hit an all-time high in the United States at 53% of all marriages ending in divorce. It is estimated that the divorce rate for 2021 will be 45%.

He gave us his Word to teach us the principles applicable across cultures and peoples of the world to help us be successful in our marriages.

Decide today to be an instrument of blessing or healing in marriages in your sphere of influence, whether it be in your church, a small group or marketplace setting.
